Antique Native American parfleche. For the Southwestern art collector, a fine example of a Plateau painted parfleche storage envelope. Provenance: Morningstar Gallery Sante Fe, NM 1984. This parfleche is constructed of buffalo hide, folded in a rectangular shape, painted in geometric shapes of red, blue, green, and yellow, with rawhide ties. Excellent condition.
