Estate Finely Carved Turquoise, and Pearl Brooch and Pendant depicting a Geisha or woman of status.  Bust is carved out of turquoise, set on a open fretwork frame which is encircled by prong set pearls. 

Loop for a chain can be raised to wear as a pendant.
